What type of bins will I receive?
We use two types of commercial-grade heavy-duty moving bins. You'll receive whichever type is available in our inventory at the time of your rental — both are the same price and offer the same durability and features:
Shared specs: Both types support up to 500 lbs max load, stack 5 high, and include attached lids. The black bins have slightly larger dimensions and capacity, while the yellow/green bins are slightly more compact.

How many totes do I need?
A good rule of thumb: 1–2 bedrooms → 20 totes • 2–3 bedrooms → 30 totes • 3–4 bedrooms → 40 totes • 4–5+ bedrooms → 50 totes. Our booking form lets you set any custom quantity — it’s always better to order a few extra than run short on move day.
What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental is 7 days. Most customers choose 14 days to give themselves plenty of time to pack, move, and unpack at their own pace. Rentals of 28+ days automatically receive a 25% discount on the extension period.
Do you deliver, and how far?
FREE delivery and pick up for addresses in Prosper (75078) and Celina (75009)! We also deliver anywhere within 50 miles of Prosper High School, covering virtually all of DFW. For other areas, delivery fees are calculated at $2/mile per direction. If you’d prefer, free self pick up is also available at our Celina location.
What does delivery cost?
FREE delivery & pick up for addresses in Prosper (75078) and Celina (75009) — no minimum order required!
For other areas, delivery fees are calculated separately for each direction at $2/mile — we charge for both delivery and pick up trips.
Distance is measured from Prosper High School:
• Free on orders over $150 within 10 miles
• $10 per direction on orders under $150 within 10 miles
• $2/mile per direction for addresses beyond 10 miles — for example, a 15-mile address = $60 total ($30 delivery + $30 pick up). Maximum range is 50 miles.
The exact fee is calculated automatically in our booking form when you enter your ZIP codes for both delivery and pick up locations.

Is a moving dolly included?
Yes — every rental includes 1 flat platform dolly at no extra charge. This is a low-profile, wheeled platform with four swivel casters — you set a bin (or a stack of items) on it and roll it across smooth floors. Think of it as a furniture dolly rather than an upright hand truck. It’s great for gliding heavy bins across hardwood, tile, or concrete, but is not designed for stairs. Included automatically with every order.
What if I need the totes longer than planned?
Life happens — just contact us as soon as you know you need more time. Extensions are subject to availability but we do our best to accommodate. Additional days are charged at the same daily rate as your original rental.
Are the totes clean between rentals?
Absolutely. We inspect and clean every tote before it goes out. You’ll receive totes that are ready to pack — no mystery residue from the last customer.
What if a tote is lost or damaged?
Normal wear and tear is expected and covered. If a tote is lost or significantly damaged beyond normal use, we’ll discuss replacement cost at the time of pickup. We keep it fair — just treat them like you’d want your stuff treated.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Need to make a change? Reach out to us at support@btstorageguys.com as soon as possible and we’ll work with you. We understand moves don’t always go as planned.
Are bin rentals more expensive than buying cardboard boxes?
For most moves, the cost is surprisingly comparable — and for larger homes, bins are often cheaper. A 2-bedroom move with cardboard boxes runs about $135–$165 once you factor in tape, packing paper, and labels. Our 30-bin rental is $132 for 7 days, delivered and picked up with a dolly included.
